The moment I fully rejected Christians was when I had been able to count 10 of them who asked me:

At that moment I realized that a lot of people I held in high esteem were only acting morally and righteously, or even just positively instead of negatively, because they felt it was their only option

In other words, if we lived in a world with no consequences, those same people would do whatever evil they wanted against me, as long as it would benefit them. Because in their own words:

>how can you define objective morality or care about anything if there isn't a higher purpose?

I immediately became terrified of most of my peers, who were apparently not born with a natural sense of right and wrong.
