FTL travel is costly, mankind built giant domes over a planet with only early Flora, the atmosphere isn't breathable yet.
The colonies' goal is to gather tons and tons of resources so they can build on a massive scale once the 2nd wave of colonists get there, this is done using gigantic trains rolling on metal-concrete rails with manual rail switch.

Trouble start when trains disappear, even their navigational data are erased from the colonies networks.
It turns out one of the colony was taken over by supremacist who want to keep this planet to themselves.
Because they have Authority Access to the network it is impossible to keep them from interfering with the system save from destroying the network.

Their declaration of war are warning missiles fired at the unarmed colony-ship going out of hyperspace, forcing it to go back.
Earth cannot send help because the FTL-beacon was disabled from the network, without it any ship would arrive at the limit of the solar system.
