Their early work is too alternative and raw for me, but when Ok Computer came out in 97, I think they archieved a pivotal point in their career, both musically and comercially. It has been compared with U2 but I think Radiohead has a far more pessimistic tone, and a more electronic sound. Their masterpiece has to be "paranoid android", a song that combines alt rock of the 90s with the prog rock movement of the early 70s.
