I think it's mostly because of the fact that gacha games really have moved from mostly being a niche thing to actually appealing and trying even harder to reach normies online and shit, so when you end up with a game like Uma being as big as it is, it comes as a culture shock to a lot of people when Cygames is still doing the same thing they've been doing and learning, reiterating on it it (Cinderella Girls Games Raising Sim, Granblue, Priconne, etc) and putting it all in a new game and it working as much as it does.
