This was fucking awful. It seemed like the author took a much less fantastical story and then slapped fantasy elements on it without much thought. Why does blood trickle down someone’s leg when they’re underwater? Why does a girl who grew up on a pirate ship in the 1700’s want to eat pizza? I’m tempted to try something from that Sarah Maas chick, since she’s a best seller, but I suspect it’s also retarded. Any good modern female fantasy writers?
