The way this story is structured makes Oguri feel like the ultimate potential girl. Whatever she wins is off-screen or unimportant, whatever she loses is completely game-changing. In the end, she comes off as somewhat weak, always chasing something but never reaching it.
I get that edging the audience is a good way to keep them invested, but I really wished Oguri actually had a memorable victory in this season, other than the time she beat March.
