I’ve never had any luck in making snap look good with 1000 or even 1600 grit. It always looks cloudy. I think the guide that anon made is the way to go, I just don’t think it’s worth it.
For instance, look at the arms of this zgok. It just doesn’t look right (ignore the nub mark, I assembled this like a long ass time ago and will eventually fix it up before painting)
