This and how the overall cost, quality, and rarity of space marines has dropped a lot over the years. It was very high quantity pre-HH, then post-HH they were rare, expensive, one-man-armies, and now with the introduction with nu-marines they're cheap shit. Even ignoring TT, it's just the sad reality of how GW has had so many different writers for the same things and each guy has their own headcanon so you get a lot of conflicting themes and information.
