What I'm saying is that ants and animals don't go out of their way to specifically spite other beings for no other reason that for the cause of evil itself. There is always some sort of motivation, something to be gained. With humanity, it's blind evil, people don't even get anything out of it, just self destruction.

How ironic too right? Humans couldn't figure out that the technology itself is what made the aliens spiritually dead, and that is why they have to try and extract "spirit" from human babies, because they themselves are empty husks. So the humans take the technology trojan horse, and kill their own spirit in exchange for nihilistic soulless apathy.
