They're going to retrofit/retcon things into being canon in Arknights to work with Endfield. The whole set up of Endfield taking place on a whole different planet is already their soft way of making sure the two sides aren't entirely dependent on one another and can still function independently going forward. But they obviously have to do more retrofitting at the beginning to make it make canonical sense in-universe for both games at least.

Whether you like it or not is a different story, but Endfield most certainly isn't being built in its own little bubble
