She's basically gone for all of 7/8. The whole crew shows up at some point in 7 but Emilia is basically just given random homework to do to justify her existing and its highly embarrassing. Her big final fight for the arc is baby sitting this thing whom she has no relation or knowledge about, she's just kind of there while the deer completes a character arc.
