People were only just moving from dial up to DSL or cable internet, processing and storage for any amount of video was only for the most dedicated individual. Did play a shit ton of Halo 2, >>11871208 is kind of right but calling it "toxic" is something a fag would say. Before then it was LAN parties of Halo CE, but also CS, Q3A, etc.
Picrel was what I used most at first, then Trillian, that was for most of my friends, for cool l33t stuff like warez and cracks I used IRC with mIRC. Also did a long of song downloading and CD burning, usually using Limewire after Napster got fucked and used Nero to burn CDs.
