After all this time, Otto has yet to be topped as a villain by other Mihoyo villains.

I am sad because the other games are felled with horrifically flawed people or at minimum characters doing self-reflection. Otto is a crazy self-hating fuck who has to ask himself if he oved Kallen or if he's only in love with an idealization of Kallen.
But even the MCs have direct consequences to their flaws.
Kiana's self-sacrificing and willingness to put a false smile while enduring all the suffering herself has gotten friction with her friends. Mei especially is highly affected by Kiana taking enormous burdens alone.
Hua's arc goes over all her failures, betrayals, and times she did wrong with Senti straight-up saying if she was in Hua's shoes she would've killed Otto and Kallen the first time and prevented much harm.
Seele spent several arcs struggling with the split personality inside her until she finds a way to accept her.
