“Prrrrobably not? Not something to really dwell on though.” You figure if it’s something she wants to bring up, she’ll do so on her terms. “Anyway, moving up that appointment regardless.”
“Well, let’s head on over to Baba’s.” mom suggests, leading you all out of the house. Outside you see Buu playing with Groucho, while the other Goku’s still crowded around by all the Saiyans and your aunt and uncle.
“Surprised the old bastard still had it in ‘em.” Vegeta grunts with just a hint of genuine pride in his voice.
“I’ll say, makes the King I served look like a total chump, hahaha!” Nappa agrees with a hearty laugh.
“Yeah, beating that Freeza guy must’ve been no small feat.” Goku says. “The version of your pops I knew was pretty tough though.”
“So back to the war you were called to…” Raditz attempts to get back on topic.
“Hey, brobro, Chi-chi, heading down to Auntie Baba’s for a bit.” Maple calls out to them.
He waves back at you all. “Got it.”
“Oh, Fortunesmeller Baba! Hey mind if I come with?” Goku asks. “Got some things I’d like to ask her.” He then looks at Raditz and rubs the back of his neck apologetically. “Eheh, sorry, can I take a raincheck on that story?”
“Yeah sure.” Raditz agrees.
“I don’t see why not. Come on mon-” Maple catches herself, sadly smiling and correcting, “…Goku.”
“...Yeah that’s gotta be awkward.” Cocoa whispers to you.
