I've been reminiscing on S2 a lot lately especially after how S4 ended. I truly think Shinji was the intended winner of S2 not TJ. From all the lubecooch tts he got to bringing in Jimmy to fight him and then bringing in Frank to confront him over it and then relentlessly hassling him. It feels like they wanted him to crash out at multiple times and leave the show but then they just gave up at some point due to laziness and because he just wouldn't budge. Even in the end they tried to make final challenge in Shinji's favor but he was just too fucked up to fight.
