Despite sanctions, Russia has invested over €1 billion into expanding its strategic aviation plant in Kazan, reports Finland’s Yle.

The facility, which builds Tu-160 bombers and upgrades Tu-22M3s, added 19,000 m2 of new hangars — yet delivered just 2 aircraft in 2023 due to workforce and component shortages.
