I think there are a lot of manga that only work because of the art. They then get adaptations which to me make zero sense because they're given typical low production values of your average seasonal and absent the art you're just left with cliff notes level writing to try to carry the thing.

Anyhow Frieren is better than the manga because the manga's art is dogshit and a lot of effort went into the anime's visuals.

Still the best modern battle iyashikei, second only to Kino no Tabi.
