Knocking SIll on the head isn't even close to the top of the list of bad stuff he does, and it's always either played for an anime style joke or used as an endearment thing to Sill. He has a tendency to kill random people when they annoy him. I think the punching bothers you because it's more relateable to real life than a guy that goes around raping and killing when he can get away with it.
