this is a very, very complex question
our whole economic system is about to change
this is not just about waifubots, it's about the post-AI world
so we assume that a waifubot might be in the same price-range as a car, but we have no clue what the economy or the labor market is going to be like in 2040, so there's too many wildcards in play
I'm extremely confident about two things:
1. "AI companions" are the next big step, this is the product every major company is racing towards, it is the logical "AGI product", just like chatGPT was the logical AI-product
2. once that happens, the demand for robotic bodies for these AI companions is inevitable, and the last piece of the most perfect product ever created
a mass-adoption love-partner, could be a friend, or a significant other
people don't realize it already, but companies are not going to sell you a gf, they're going to sell you your gf's body, which exponentially more powerful
and these reassures me that they will find a way for you to pay for it, it is inevitable, just like henry ford found a way for anyone to afford a car, regardless of their socioeconomic status
