Long ago both fanbases entered a fandom war over an animated battle were Sakuya won against Sans, all the popular Undertale wank methods date back to said war.
Funnily enough Toby Fox (Undertale's creator) is a huge Touhou Fan and he managed to meet ZUN (Touhou's creator) and even got to make a crossover with him.
In an ironic twist of destiny Touhou and Undertale got an official collab and the rancid powerscaler side of the Undertale community began to scale their characters to Touhou just so they could reach Multiversal.
In the end by doing this they indirectly accepted that Touhou was indeed stronger than Undertale.
