It's actually been decreasing slightly in the US since it peaked with Gen X in the 1990s. This trend is there even when you limit to looking at non-hispanic whites only, so it isn't just explained by immigration.
Gen Z are the shortest generation since baby boomers and millennials are shorter than Gen X but taller than Gen Z.
