I haven't need to farm it for a long time, but back in the day you used to kill the first elite, jump off the side while aborting the mission which then gets you sent back right to the beacon where you can activate the mission again. I remember it being very particular about how you abort or you wont' get back to the beacon, I never measured if there was any time difference, and I don't know if it still works.
