It's actually different than that. I played CC when it first came out, and I had a lot of fun, but I started subscribing less and less in Endwalker, to the point that I don't even play PvP unless there is something on the battle pass that I want, which is rare but does happen.
Fast forward to now, I want the weird spider mount thing from the battlepass, but I don't want to accidentally become known as a PvPer in these threads, and I don't want to be schizo'd and I don't want to be shitposted for being bad. I got to plat in the first season, but I never really played Ranked after that, so it's very possible I'm dogshit and would get shitposted. The CC calling in these threads and people getting schizo'd for PvPing has actually caused me to avoid PvPing. I'll just get the spider mount next expansion when you can buy it from the vendor.
