One of the many many problems with Taeshi's writing is that it's so insanely, predictably annoying, that you sort of start going in denial, as if she is gonna pull a card of her sleeve and make it so the things she puts in her stories make sense, as if she'll show us something that will justify all the misery the puts her characters and her readers through.

It never happens, all that happens is the same annoying things over and over again, in this case, Mike getting humiliated yet again.
