I still wouldn't expect the shades to be the main characters of the 6.X story to be completely honest, I think they'll mostly be background characters (for now) while we're dealing with whatever is going on between the Fatui and Frostmoon scions as well as regional conflicts like the abyss (Wild Hunt) invasion in the area
