Before you realized it you, Ryko, Shizuku, and even Ayane were all cuddled up on the couch.

"Mr. John Doe," The fluffball known as Ryko yawned, "That story was fun. But also confusing..."

"Time travel shenanigans can get complicated." Talking about things like Dragon Quest and anime was easy enough, but Chrono Trigger was a different beast altogether. You sprinkled everything with some average anime shenanigans and improvised the parts you didn't remember.

"Such tales about heroes on journeys are oft spoken and shared, as strange as they are." Ayane said. While outlandish things were easily believed thanks to the nature of this universe, some voiced doubts about time travel existing grounded you back in reality.

"I've never really heard any of the stories Master spoke of." The ever positive and intuitive Mel started listening not too long after you started, and was giving you another one of those strange looks. This one however quickly morphed to curiosity. "But if these things really happened, then..."

"I have tons of dreams like those stories." Ryko yawned again before you could clarify anything. "Tons and tons of dreams... I wanted to show you all the origami I made, Mr. John Doe..." She closed her eyes, but remained awake.

"You can show them to me next time I visit." You offered.

"Promise?" Ryko muttered. Beside her Shizuku was fast asleep.
