Medvedev has lifted Russia's unilateral moratorium on the deployment of medium- and shorter-range missiles (for example, the "Oreshnik" and other Wunderwaffe). He also announced further measures "which Russia's opponents will have to reckon with." We'll probably find out what those measures are in the near future.

Since a certain Donald Tusk (some high-ranking pol~ACK) said that, according to NATO intelligence, Russia won't be ready for war with NATO until 2027, this presumably isn't a full-scale war… yet. Although Russian intelligence agencies like to play games with their enemies and feed them false information, so it’s quite possible that Russia is ready for war with NATO right now.

In addition, airspace over the Kapustin Yar test range was closed from August 4 to 8. Kapustin Yar is the facility from which the Oreshnik is launched.
