Mitsurugi, in terms of archetypal disruption people play, has an omni or discard, and a field nuke via Murakumo, an omninegate in the form of Great Purification, and maybe a pop with Magatama. Mitsurugi however has an exceptionally competent engine that lets it excel in the grind game, and can easily output enough material to pivot into something like Ryzeal or Fiendsmith.
Ogdoadics, on the other hand, has an exceptionally linear and basic gameplan. Aron, Amunessia, and Ogdoabyss are bricky, high investment, terrible payoffs. Flogos and Aleirtt are literally unexplainable. Nephilabyss is a terrible extender piece that locks you, Zohah is a terrible searcher, Keurse is terrible but usable, I guess. Nunu, and Nauya are the only good monsters and neither represent anything on their own. The "CaC" of the archetype in Daybreak spawns 4 token ala Scapegoat, but Ogdoadic has one line into it and has no game if any of the pieces get stopped. Cards like Serpent Strike are theoretically meant to punish handtraps and is a fine card, but don't really change the math on how crucial Nauya into Daybreak is. Jamming in Ogdoadics into Mitsurugi notably makes Mitsurugi worse for the simple fact that the Ogdoadic engine is too weak to warrant its usage and fixes absolutely 0 of Mitsurugi's problems.
