Gendo and Fuyutsuki don't look like hapas, they look straight up white. There's nothing Asian about their faces or bodies, they look like Brits/American settlers. That's why the pic of Hugh Laurie with colored sunglasses lazily slapped on makes for a more convincing Gendo than any Japanese cosplay I could find. If I slapped some color glasses on a pic of Abraham Lincoln he would make for a decent Gendo as well.

Not even girly snoyboy protagonists from isekai, romcom anime for boys etc. look fully Japanese. Every time I watch tv and there's an Asian guy who kinda looks like an anime character he turns out to be a hapa, or his grandpa was German and Swedish or something. Like there was this guy on Japanese volleyball team who visually stood out from the rest of his teammates. The other players' side profiles were flat as pancake, but his looked more like anime cat face. So I looked him up, and yup, he's mixed. It was Ran Takahashi, I think.

Male characters in battle shounen and romance manga for girls look even less Asian.
