I've been to Carlsbad caverns a few time buy in my latest trip it really hit me how absolutely fuck off huge it really is, and how there's way more to it that isn't available to the public.
honestly if we didn't care about preserving the natural beauty of the cave you could honestly fit an entire city down there, I mean it'll be a permanent damp 56° F down there but I'd take that over being fried by the desert, and the fact that there are even bigger caves out there really boggles the mind
