If it's posted on pixiv they'll tag it, or include mention in the description. Some of these characters are artists OC that have other art clearly showing they're shemale. And some artists intentionally give them some masculine traits.
But it's true idiots mis-tag things on booru's (I think danbooru has a rule that when it doubt tag it futa, which ignores the artists intent) and some anon's post futa by mistake.
