Similar situation here. I think one of the biggest problems with the second game which I dont see ever being fixed is that they are too piss scared to commit to any direction in the fear that it might hurt their sales. Because if you decide to not cater to everyone, sure it might make some more dedicated fans but it also short term means some whales get mad and leave. But as we've seen if you just fuck around indecisive for a year with no identity then eventually almost everyone is going to just get bored/frustrated and leave to a title that actually does cater to them. It seems pretty self evident that mica has bit off more than they can chew with this 3D game, every single decision they make so far makes sense if they are borderline broke and trying to secure their next round of funding. They dont dare do something like have star blow herself up (even if its a fakeout) if that potentially drops 10% of their sales for her banner. The alternative idea that they actually have money means they must just simply be too brain damaged to make a good game anymore. So either way just enjoy the feet guys, its all they have got for us.
