I think just because they're pretty niche characters means they don't get much exposure. I only know about them because of the exploding thing (and even in game it doesn't really show anything). That's usually the way it goes for people with niche fetishes, you find a bit character that somewhat fulfills your perversion only to find out that basically nobody else cares.
