It's not about you. Ironically he has a literal bias in his thinking and cannot accept shades of gray. It's not even about politics, eventually someone like that will fall out with you because they cannot bend their minds to accept anything it does not already accept. Who else do you know who can be as inflexible as this? Little kids. Do you get depressed when a little kid seethes at you in a tantrum?
