"Sign here... then here... and that should do it." Said a scraggly looking government clerk— an elf— as you both finalized the deal. "And with that, congratulations Lord Doe. You are now the proud owner of this fortress."

"Thank you." You said. "It was a pleasure, Mr... ?"

"I am Morgar, if it pleases you." The elf said with a bow.

"Rather dwarfish sounding name." Ruby commented without looking at him, her attention taken by the structure that you now owned. Combined with how you purchased the other properties, you could practically see the schemes forming in her eyes with all the opportunities a 'home base' in Centria could bring.

"Quite right." He agreed, but made no further comment on that. "I hope such a gracious Savant like yourself has a good day."

"Yeah, same to you." You said to him.

And with his departure, your attention, too, was drawn towards the castle— apparently one of the last surviving structures the Eastians built in this land prior to the establishment of Centria, preceding the city by at least a century. It was used for war when this area was merely considered a strategic point, being rebuilt many times by many different people before Centria became what it is today.

"Heya!" Mel appeared before you, her face beaming as she shed her invisibility with a suddenness that would've started not a year ago. "I know I've said this before, but thank you for buying this home, Master!"

"Despite how impressive it is, it's not as large as the mansion nor the estate. Not to mention, Forthwythe's palace, on the subject of castles." Ruby was more critical.

"Master has done a great thing for our sakes," Gerty said, "It is not something to take for granted."

"Not to say I'm not grateful, of course. This doubtlessly surpasses sleeping in the woods." Ruby agreed.

"Master! Master!" Bertha shouted from one of the castle's windows. Even from this far away you could see the smile on her face. "Master! This place is great!"

She, too, suddenly appeared before you. Yet unlike Mel's gradual turn to visibility, Bertha's appearance was sudden— one moment there was empty space, then she was there.

"Bertha," You lightly chastised, "What did I tell you about using the Stop-Watch when you don't need to?"

"Huh?" Bertha blinked, tilted her head, then with a silent 'oh' she remembered your words, "You, like, didn't want me to overuse it since it could break down. Whoopsies." She gave a weak smile.

Much like Bertha, the rest of your wives had already been inside this house, looking this way and that, accustoming themselves to what was basically a castle.

Mel, already having seen everything there was to see and absorbed as many details of the place to suit her fancy, was satisfied with the knowledge that this would be just as comfortable as your estate, so she kept close to you and tagged along as you strolled around. Ruby was, as usual, following you so she could try to win your favor. Both seemed to appreciate the building alongside you.
