Pretty sure she's going to end up being our ticket into the Arathi Mainland come Midnight, hence why they're keeping her propped up in the story right now.
My guess is that 12.0 is gonna unfold like this
>Start with revamped Quel'thalas dealing with Troll/Void/Scourge shit and setting up Silvermoon as the new main hub
>At the end of the zone campaign we get attacked by the Arathi who have sent a fleet to try and capture the Sunwell in the name of their Emperor
>Player characters round up Anduin, Faerin and Lor'themar before sailing to the mainland to try and talk diplomacy with the Emperor
>When that falls through we end up adventuring around their whole continent putting together some kind of resistance group to overthrow him instead

Like, I think it'd be pretty cool if Anduin got to actually flex his skills as a diplomat again, speaking ruler to ruler with actual nuance and politics at play. Plus we've had a very heavily Void-themed expansion already so fighting against a Holy-aligned empire would make for a nice change of pace in the first tier before diving right back into fighting the Void again.
My only concern is that if Faerin is involved that way too much of the story is gonna revolve around her family drama as she's already alluded to us that her parents are close-minded bigots.

Next expansion is just gonna be the most safe, paint-by-numbers 'help the #Resistance overthrow the fascist arathi emperor' storyline imaginable.
