I mean, I can accept that to some degree, and I realize sallies did happen. And trenches and stuff the more modern times, as you say.
And there are instances of it in the fluff. The final battle in the Tamurkhan book springs to mind, and Altdorf in the End Times.
But it would be nice to have the walls actually mean something. I might just use a mod that gives a leadership bonus, idk.
