Actually makes sense yeah, in BA even the biggest of whales still need to mald to get their torment clears and then nexon comes out and slaps an even higher difficulty on top of that with Lunatic, forcing them to work even harder now.
Arknights on the other hand does not reward players for doing their best at all. CC is so infrequent and doesn't reward anything beyond risk 18 despite the fact beating risk 18 has only been getting easier and easier every year. Same for IS, there is no real reason to do the higher difficulties at all and the very fact that a fucking bot can farm IS for all the rewards speaks volumes about how little HG cares about rewarding people actually putting in effort into playing the game.

This isn't even complaining about wis'adel or other meta operators that trivialize most stages, it's the content and reward system that's the problem. There's a lot to dig in for AK but unless you are someone who can drive purely off of self imposed challenges the game just completely fails at making players want to partake in the games content and systems properly.
