I assume the Asian development project is failing because they have a ludicrous amount of sex trafficking and there's a push trying to ship over the domestic model of marriage because government over there is more concerned with controlling prostitution than they are population. It's no longer just boomers looking for cheap sex it's demoralized over-domesticated middle class people. I imagine if anyone wants to push something like this it's groups related to the IMF or World Bank, since they want to fill up their development projects. Almost every modern city in Asia was built after the 1990s using an immense amount of debt.
