If anyone is curious about this, here's the breakdown they gave me.
I live in the US and have used DHL multiple times in the past and never had to pay any kind of additional duties or taxes
Order total was $384.16 USD including shipping. DHL says Customs value is $271.00. It shows that it was exported from Japan, but the country of origin is listed as China. I'm guessing that's why it's so high.
I recently received packages from the same store in Japan through EMS and didn't have to pay anything additional. Don't select DHL if you can avoid it
