I felt that same way you do when I stopped putting other people on a pedestal I wasn’t willing to occupy myself. That’s why you feel better. Keep going but never lose sight of the person you want to be or the world you want to live in. If you use your newfound esteem to try and leverage others unfairly, your poor treatment of them will come back to you. However, if you can remain content in yourself and feed authentic honor back into the world, regardless of your chosen form, that too (!) will come back to you
