That's what I was saying. There has been racism between Europeans throughout history, that doesn't mean that random schizos get to decide what and who is white. You cannot find a single census in which whatever group of Europeans was considered 'non-white'. As you said, back in the day Anglos considered Germans to be asiatic huns and it was a huge propaganda point for them, the French viewed themselves as superior to everyone else in the Middle Ages, the Italians during the Renaissance saw everyone outside of their borders as basically barbarians, etc. But there is a difference between ordinary propaganda and national policy. No Anglo actually thought Germans were non-European or whatever and no German saw a Pole as such either. Europeans saw themselves as one 'family' throughout history and sure there was a lot of bickering and bad blood, but they still considered themselves family, different from the rest.
