I just bought some Dark Flake Aromatic. The unscented version is out of stock. I also bought some Grasmere Flake (I hear Ennerdale is a milder version of it).

Old Dark Fired was great. I'm sad to see her go. I've been smoking some Rattray's Stirling Flake of late, which is more meaty-tasting but also a LOT more biting.

I find I've been chasing after the elusive tobacco which tastes good on a consistent basis, with consistent flavors. My taste must be wacky, I don't know. So far Autumn Evening has been the most consistently good blend for me.

Speaking of Samuel Gawith, I smoked a tin of their St James Flake, which is said to be very good and is out of stock all the time, and hated it. It barely had any flavor. At least it smelled like a nice pastry to other people.

It's nice you've found a favorite blender or two. In my experience I just have favorite blends, not blenders, who just happen to strike out with something good now and then.

Not sure what I'll do if I end up actually liking Dark Flake or Grasmere Flake. They're expensive, that's for sure...
