I feel like if it wasn't Sans, or if you played Deltarune before Undertale and your only perspective of him was "that guy that recently moved into town that runs the convenience store and acts like a wisecracking asshole and also invited a minor over his house the first time they met", people wouldn't be acting like Toriel did nothing wrong.
