There was trafficking because they was an intent to send them to island to prostitute them. The girls were sent to the island under false pretenses.

There was rape because the girls were put on situations in which they couldn't possibly consent (away from home, unable to communicate with the external world, surrounded by people with authority over them, etc.) Plus the vast majority of them were under age of consent anyway.
