Agreed, but it’s still the followers who choose. You can always tell who’s a shit leader because they’re so preoccupied with the fear that their authority will be questioned or disrespected. They can’t handle the reality that nobody actually values their leadership and it’s only the structure which is propping them up that gives them control over anything. Forgive me for invoking kikeslop as an analogy for anything but pic related is a really concise demonstration of the distinction. You’re correct that when shit hits the fan, everyone knows who they’re gonna ask “what do we do now?” but nowhere is it written that that person is gonna be the person vested with authority BEFORE shit hits the fan.
