i know i've said this before, but for real this time, with map drops happening 5.8 and 6.0 at the very least -- i will make progress on my console backlog. at least finish FFVII rebirth so i can move onto P3R and Metaphor (also have FFXVI backlogged)

man i'm already $500 deep on this patch. i will probably swipe another $100-200 in 3 weeks to c1->c2 my mav. and i can't say i'm not tempted to go from c0->c2 on my clit next patch. and now they dropped a goof promoted 4* who is a aegis rip off. depending on who her seiyuu is i may be obligated to roll for her too... i think i will just go cold turkey during filler-krai. only roll columbina and that's it. i wanted to roll emilie too this patch since i have her weapon, but that's not gonna happen. this is why i only play one gacha, and absolutely why i'm gonna drop gacha completely once this kusoge eos's. fomo is a hell of a drug

i recently started having weird screen freezes in genshin. image would freeze but audio would continue. no system freeze or hang as i can continue doing whatever else i'm doing and that is unaffected if the game hangs (even if it happens when i'm alt-tabbed). clean reinstall drivers, no change. so i began suspecting my GPU. which i guess was do for a change. 1070, with now a 9 year old chipset. honestly after the years of pandemic hoarding driven gpu price fluctuations and the fact i don't play anything other than genshin i've had zero motivation to upgrade. but damn, not being able to even empty your resin without alt-f4'ing and rebooting the game started to get tired real quickly. as i don't play any other game and have no plans to play any other games on my pc i started looking at cheapest price/perf options. thankfully the rush of 5xxx upgraders have made the second hand market pretty good for last gen buyers. i was able to snipe a 3060ti for $140. which was honestly less than i was anticipating to spend. i almost got baited into buying a 4060, but thankfully i missed out on the one i came across (turns out vanilla 4060 is 5-10% worse than the 3060ti). On the flip side 5090 for $2.5k? a fucking middling 5070 for like $800? holy fuck how do pc builers justify shit like this, it's crazy
