Shortly after, Russian soldiers began looting a nearby supermarket, while Volodymyr's body remained lying on the ground. The murder of Volodymyr Rubailo may have been committed by Russian paratroopers from the 234th Air Assault Regiment from Pskov - specifically, a group led by Sergeant Vladimir Borzunov.
