“But… the fact of the matter is, she thinks of herself as my daughter, and boy I’m not sure I really put forth the best first impression as a… parent, a ‘dad’ to her.” Ugh that feels weird to say out loud. “…How about you and Melee? Do… you two feel like you want kids? Or nah?”
She lets out a startled, stumbling guffaw, blushing and looking away. “Adjh…! Uh… I-I mean… well, that’s… certainly something we’ve talked about from time to time, but…” In a quieter voice, she says, “…We might…”
That gets a little smile out of you. “Well, I’ll wish the best for you both then. I… think I’m gonna go talk with Cocoa first, honestly.”
Letting out what’s halfway between a laugh and reluctant exhale, Keli says, “Gonna rip the bandage off right from the start huh? Well… best of luck to you too, Peppa.”
The both of you bump fists, and you finally head back to Earth, but not home just yet. You instead, arrive on the Lookout, requesting a moment to get in a quick shower to freshen up, then afterward tap your goggles and call Cocoa. After a moment, she picks up. “Morning Peppa. Finally back?”
Even just hearing her voice again brings a smile back to her face. “Yep, boy did a lot happen.”
“Eheh, I heard something about you guys finding some kind of alternate version of your dad from Pantea yesterday, so I can imagine.”
“Ugh… yeah. Mind having a bit of a… more serious talk in a bit? Brain’s full of just… so much stuff and I really need to talk with you about some of it.” you request.
“Sure, let me get dressed and then meet me in a bit.”
The two of you meet up in a park just outside the limits of West City, with your girlfriend standing with a cute blue sleeveless dress against a tree. “Hope you weren’t waiting too long.” you say with a wink.
“Just got here. Flying’s still not as easy for me as it is for all of you, you know.” she responds, sticking out her tongue cheekily. “So, what’s up? I’m guessing this isn’t just about that other Goku.”
