thats the hole you fall into with self improvement,
there's usually no end goal. even though i technically "self improve" i kinda just see it as just eliminating problems in my life not so much attaining anything. i've made enough money to not need much and i don't gamble my income away anymore.
i'm back to my martial arts, self care, writing etc
i don't think any of these things are really improvements i guess nor do i think ill get a gf out of them but they definitely addressed the problems in my life.
hope this POV helps even though its quite grim still
